WANDERING EYE, founded in 2017 by artist and educator Matthew Baum, offers a wide range of customized photographic services in Napa Valley, California and beyond. Wandering Eye is available for assignment and commissioned work of all kinds, photo education for all levels of individuals and groups, as well as professional fine art inkjet printing and post-production.

Matthew Baum is a photographer and arts educator based in Napa Valley, California. He earned a BA in American history from Brown University, studied architecture at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, and received his MFA in photography from the School of Visual Arts.
As a teacher, Matthew has been on faculty at the University of California - Davis, New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Hunter College and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He was also co-founder and director of the VisuaLife photography education program, working with underprivileged youth in NYC.
During the last 12 years. Matthew has led a wide variety of courses for individuals and groups of all kinds including: camera basics, fine art printing, Photoshop and Lightroom, idea and historically-based seminars, as well as studio critiques. He has also printed and done post-production work for many established and emerging photographic artists.
Matthew’s work has been exhibited at venues in the United States and abroad, including CAMRaleigh, Fordham University’s Center Gallery and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at the New York Public Library.
